Information We Collect
1. Information You Provide Directly
Account Information: When you create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address (or a relay email address if you choose to hide your email via Apple).
Profile Information: Name, profile picture, and any preferences you set during onboarding (e.g., learning goals, preferred wake/sleep times).
Tasks & Schedules: Task titles, descriptions, dates, times, duration, subtasks, notes, and recurring patterns you create within the App.
Learning Content: Text, PDFs, or other materials you upload or input for AI processing (summaries, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps).
Chat Messages: Text inputs you provide when using our AI Chat features (Planner, Tutor, and Reflection modes).
Community Content: Posts, comments, and other content you share in communities.
Goal & Vision Data: Personal goals and six-month vision statements entered during onboarding.
2. Information Collected Automatically
Usage Data: App interactions such as features used, screens visited, task completion rates, study session durations, streak data, and quiz scores.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect your device push token to send you reminders and updates.
3. Information from Third Parties
Authentication Providers: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (name, email, unique identifier) from these providers.
RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect purchase and transaction data related to your subscription.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and maintain the App: Create your account, manage your tasks, deliver learning content, and enable community features.
AI-Powered Features: Process your chat inputs, learning content, and task data through our AI partner (OpenAI) to generate personalized schedules, study materials (flashcards, quizzes, summaries, mind maps), and conversational responses.
Personalization: Customize your experience based on your preferences, goals, and usage patterns.
Notifications: Send push notifications for task reminders, daily planning prompts, and other App-related alerts (if enabled).
Analytics: Track usage patterns and performance metrics to improve the App.
Subscription Management: Process and manage your subscription through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store.
Community Features: Enable social interactions including posts, comments, challenges, and leaderboards.
Customer Support: Address your inquiries and resolve issues.
Third-Party Data Sharing
1. OpenAI
To provide AI-powered features (AI Chat, content processing, task plan generation), we send the following data to OpenAI (our AI processing partner):
Chat messages you type in Planner, Tutor, and Reflection modes
Learning content you upload (text excerpts, PDF content) for processing into flashcards, quizzes, and summaries
Task context (task titles, schedules) when using the AI Planner feature
OpenAI processes this data to generate responses and does not use your data to train their models. For more information, see OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
2. RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives:
Your anonymous app user ID
Purchase and subscription transaction data

3. Apple & Google (Authentication)
When you sign in using Apple or Google, these providers handle authentication. We only receive the information you authorize (name, email, unique identifier). We do not share your App data back with these providers.
4. Expo (Push Notifications)
We use Expo's push notification service to deliver reminders and alerts. Expo receives your device push token. For more information, see Expo's Privacy Policy.
5. We Do NOT:
Sell your personal data to third parties.
Share your data for advertising or marketing purposes with third parties.
Use your data for purposes beyond those described in this policy.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
AI-generated content (flashcards, quizzes, summaries) is stored as long as your account exists.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent to data processing at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing).

Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at apps@growi.app.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
